Frequently Asked Questions
What does a private lesson look like?
Each session is 60 minutes long. We’ll start with a short Q&A to discuss the situations you’re currently facing on the mats. Then, we’ll work through a structured lesson plan for the day.
How are private lessons different from group classes?
Private lessons are fully customized to you. While group classes follow a general curriculum, private sessions are focused on your specific goals, questions, and learning pace. It’s the fastest way to deepen your understanding and refine your game.
How are lessons planned?
Every lesson is designed with your progress in mind. I’ll reach out about a week before your session to learn more about your goals, challenges, and focus areas. For continuing students, we may dive deep into one position or concept over several lessons to build strong, lasting understanding.
How do I make the most of my private lessons?
After each session, you’ll receive a written summary outlining the key concepts, techniques, and takeaways. You will also be provided with suggested drills or “homework” to help you stay consistent and continue improving between sessions.
What kind of support will I receive?
You’re not on your own after the lesson. I’m available for follow-up questions and guidance to help you stay on track. Think of me as your coach both on and off the mat.
